Description

All Babbitt materials are based on tin with several alloying elements to form a particular two-phase microstructure with hard intermediate phases (i.e., Sb-Sn; Cu-Ni-Sn, Cu-Sn-Sb phases) in a soft matrix. This yields excellent running-in and out properties in medium-stressed Oleo dynamic bearings applications. TEGO, HOYT, and ECKA alloys comprise the product portfolio for traditional casting and innovative cladding processes.
