Required Qualifications

Education – BS in Engineering or similar technology major. Advanced degree desired.
10 years of demonstrated manufacturing management experience and success in a primary metals manufacturing environment with an appropriate progression of increased responsibility.
Demonstrated experience with manufacturing resources planning and an integrated capital appropriations/budget plan.
Hands-on experience with the development and implementation of Lean Initiatives, visual management and shop floor reporting systems.
Proven verbal and written communication skills to enable the incumbent to provide effective and meaningful presentations to location employees, customers, division and corporate management.
Demonstrated skills with PC office applications such as MS Word, Excel and Power Point.

Key Job Responsibilities:

The Operations Manager will lead and manage all business operations of the Specialty Metals Products Division at our Reading Alloys facility. This role is accountable for delivering sustained, profitable results in line with the location’s business plan and customer requirements. The Operations Manager will ensure that all operations prioritize worker safety, comply with environmental regulations, and integrate seamlessly with the company’s quality systems. Additionally, this position is responsible for driving continuous improvement through process enhancements, lean initiatives, and the development of individual employees.
