Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations and Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management, Logistics, similar major, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in inventory control and planning.
- Experience with ERP systems, inventory control and purchasing systems NAV experience preferred.
- Lean Manufacturing experience.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience with traditional PP/MRP, as well as Lean driven planning strategies.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.
- Proficient in Windows-based software and internet navigation.
- Proactive problem identifier with creative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
Summary
A Production Planner will be responsible for leading and managing all production planning, material requirement planning, and inventory control systems for SCM Metal Products business which deliver results consistent with the business and customer requirements.

Job Responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining production schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Coordinating with different departments like inside sales, procurement, and logistics to plan and adjust production needs.
- Analyzing production specifications and plant capacity data to determine manufacturing processes and tools
- Monitoring and adjusting schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
- Working with Production/Manufacturing to fulfill delivery requirements.
- Responsible for raw material levels and reorder points consistent with demand requirements.
- Responsible for NAV accuracy as it relates to shop floor reporting of consumption and production.
- Use Lean techniques to continuously improve the inventory control process.
- Performing other duties as assigned by management that fall within the scope and level of this position.
