EHS Manager – AmeriTi Manufacturing

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the site’s environmental permits, ensuring compliance.
  • Maintain compliance with all state and federal OSHA regulations.
  • Create and conduct new hire safety orientations and monthly OSHA-required training sessions.
  • Serve as the lead investigator for all site safety incidents, leading the root cause analysis and coordinating corrective action plans to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Collaborate with site management to improve the site’s safety management systems.
  • Coordinate all site Worker’s Compensation claims, ensuring proper communication with the claims department, site HR, and Ops teams.
  • Maintain and update all EHS-related metrics, trending the data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the site’s union stewards to ensure the safety needs of the production staff are met.
  • Prepare and maintain the site for ISO 14001 and 45001 audits and certifications.
  • Coordinate annual OSHA-required medical testing, including audiometric and pulmonary function testing.
  • Inspect the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
  • Develop and implement inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections.
  • Develop health and safety procedures for all areas of the company.
  • Draft inspection reports to document inspection findings.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Preferred Education, Experience, and Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Management, Occupational Safety, or relevant field.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • 2+ years of management experience.
  • CSP or equivalent.
  • Certified CPR/AED Instructor
  • Certified Forklift Instructor
